improving collaboration & oversight
Creating Alignment
My Approach
For improving the alignment I work vertically and horizontally across the organisation. On the team level, I establish and embed team practices that teams will adapt and adopt for their unique context. Over time these team practices become their DNA – their way of working. On the organisational level, I work with leaders to establish forums for cross-team collaboration, establish mechanisms for inter-team coordination, and build accountability structures that increase the level of trust and improve the oversight.
1
Alignment inside a team
Team alignment requires clear goals, priorities, task and workflow visualisation, regular short-term planning cadence, daily synchronisation, as well as transparent communication and documentation practices.
2
Alignment between teams
Alignment between the teams is reached by formalising and strengthening cross-team collaboration forums, establishing groups for daily work sync, and creating opportunities to showcase the completed work.
